06.21.06 REVIEW: "Cats like Mark Whitfield have worked with great, contemporary jazz vocalists and they have enough going on that they don't have to show up for a quick paycheck. If the front line jazz labels are worried about finding the next big thing, they ought to make some room in the budget by pruning stuff that's reliable but unspectacular and making room for Muir.
With a wonderful voice and a great way with a meaty lyric, Muir is a solid charmer from start to finish breathing new life into warhorse tunes that every wannabe has beaten to death already. A sweet, full voiced lass that we can't wait to hear more from, you'd be wise to join the too hip for the room crowd and start digging her now so you can say you were into her then. Hot stuff."
